Spider Mites have been identified in St. Martinville, Louisiana by state LSU sugarcane entomologist specialist. This is a picture of the damage they have done.

Currently no chemical control is labeled for sugarcane. It is believed that rain can help the mite infestation situation. So far they have targeted Ho 12-615, L 01-299, and L 14-267 sugarcane varieties.
