Double Whammy! Tar Spot and Southern Rust

I continue to receive calls on severe fungal disease infections in corn. These pictures were taken today in northern Peoria County, ILUntreated corn fields are experiencing heavy Gray Leaf Spot and Tar spot lesions from top to bottom. There is also some Southern Rust and Physoderma Brown Spot. The corn is in the R3 stage and Veltyma and Headline AMP applications are going out to protect yield potential and help with standability at harvest.Get in your fields and scout! The disease pressure continues to develop!
