Introducing: ST 6000AXTP in the Southeast

Following a strong yield performance as an experimental variety in our 2023 internal agronomic performance trials, we are excited to introduce ST 6000AXTP to the Stoneville® Cotton portfolio for 2024!

This variety brings forward the AxantFlex™ technology, which is the first quad-stacked herbicide trait platform, giving it tolerance to Glyphosate, Liberty® herbicide, Engenia® herbicide, and an HPPD herbicide as well as three-gene lepidopteran resistance.

ST 6000AXTP is a mid-full to full-maturity variety that is a great fit for growers in the lower Southeast. Due to this maturity, this variety had its best performance in trials when planted early in the planting window. It is a great complimentary variety to our current lineup of early- to mid-maturing varieties.

Two other positive characteristics are its high gin turnout percentage and its extremely good fiber quality. In testing, this variety was consistently 38 staple length, with some trials hitting the 39 and 40 ranges. Fiber strength is also premium, with this number averaging over 32 in 2023 trial data. High micronaire should not be a concern with this variety.

On top of its high yield and quality, ST 6000AXTP also has a native trait package with excellent resistance to both Bacterial Blight and Root Knot Nematodes.

Growers who are familiar with ST 5091B3XF will have no problems managing ST 6000AXTP as the two varieties are very similar in terms of height and aggressiveness.
