Sugarcane planting has started in New Iberia , Louisiana. Pictured is a mechanical planner planting whole stocks that still have to be assisted by hand to plant Stalks in an overlapping pattern in the middle of an opened 6 foot row.
Growers used BASF fungicides Revylok™ fungicide, Revytek® fungicide, Veltyma® fungicide or Priaxor® fungicide to protect the seed cane from Red Rot and Pineapple Rot diseases. This helps get better stands of cane and increase yields. Getting better stands of sugarcane also leads to being able to keep stubble cane longer also increasing profits.
Planting sugarcane estimated cost from $500 to $1000 per acre. So if your cane keep your stubble crop just for one more year in that cane crops cycle it can add up to a high profit opportunity! If a grower plants on average 1000 acres that equals $1,000,000.00 potential profit!
Revylok is a trademark of BASF. Revytek, Veltyma, and Priaxor are registered trademarks of BASF.
