Start with a good burdown and make certain that you are using a strong residual corn program will eliminate you harvesting a field such as depicted in this corn picture. In addition a weedy corn field definitely will impact your yield. You goal is to harvest corn and not weeds! What residual product could you have used from the BASF Corn Portfolio?

1) Start clean with a good burn down program such as Verdict + glyphosate/paraquat

2) One pass Pre use Zidua® SC Herbicide + atrazine. Add glyphosate for emerged weeds or,

3) Use Zidua SC as an early post option with atrazine + glyphosate or

4). Use Armezon® PRO Herbicide + glyphosate + atrazine in early post corn program.

Any one of the residual corn program will save you time and afford you the opportunity to manage your corn crop for maximum yields and difficult in harvesting.
